Kindle Library Calculator

1. On a computer, open read.amazon.com/kindle-library in Chrome, Edge or Firefox and sign in.
2. Open the developer console (F12, then the Console tab). Paste the script below and press Enter.
3. It walks your whole library, copies the result and saves kindle-library.json. Paste it below or drop the file in.

The script only reads your own library list, including how far you've read each book, which is how unread books are found automatically. It uses an unofficial Amazon page, so if it stops working, use the Goodreads or CSV route.

1. On goodreads.com go to My Books → Import and export → Export library.
2. Download the CSV and drop it here. Shelves map to status: to-read is unread, currently-reading is reading, read is finished.

1. Request your data at amazon.com/hz/privacy-central/data-requests (choose Kindle / Digital orders).
2. When the email arrives, unzip it and find the digital orders CSV (for example Digital Items.csv).
3. Drop it here. Prices and purchase dates get matched onto books you already imported by ASIN or title.

Any CSV with a header row works. Recognised columns: title, author, asin, pages, price, date, status, progress, rating, source. Status can be unread, reading, finished or abandoned. A backup file from this page also goes here.
